Reddit Raffler privacy policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026. This policy covers Reddit Raffler, offered by The Crimson Market and installed on Reddit as comment-picker. The Reddit launcher currently uses the name Raffit. It also covers participants whose comments are processed without opening the app.

These information pages are hosted on The Crimson Market website. Its cookies, advertising, analytics, and account features are covered by our website privacy policy. Reddit separately processes platform information under the Reddit Privacy Policy.

• Account and community context: Reddit usernames, community and launcher identifiers, and moderator permissions to check access and locate community raffles.
• Post history: available titles, identifiers, links, timestamps, scores, and comment counts to let an author select a source post.
• Comments: text, author usernames, identifiers, links, timestamps, scores, and retrieved direct-reply counts to display entries, apply filters, and select winners.
• Raffle records: rules, notes, creator and editor usernames, dates, status, errors, counts, winners, and copied winning comments to operate draws and retain results.
• Replies and support: reply text, replied-to comment identifiers, diagnostic context, and information you provide when requesting help.

The app does not ask for your Reddit password, payment details, real name, email, or postal address. Comments or support messages can nevertheless contain personal information; avoid including sensitive details.

The app runs on Reddit's Developer Platform and stores raffle information in Reddit-provided app storage. Only moderators with posts or all permission in the installed community can access and manage its saved raffles, comments, and winners. Permissions are checked on every dashboard request.

Authorized managers can copy a weighted username list to their clipboard and control subsequent sharing. Published replies are visible according to the community's access rules. Information may also be disclosed when legally required.

The current Reddit app does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. External HTTP integrations and AI generation are disabled; no data is sent to OpenAI or an external dashboard by this release. Saved AI settings are ignored.

• Comment caches expire seven days after their latest write. Refreshing cached comments can renew that period.
• Raffle records and copied winner comments have no automatic expiry. Reply-tracking identifiers also remain until removed.
• Delete raffle removes the active raffle from results and clears its comment cache and reply tracking. A deletion marker remains; older installations may retain hidden legacy records requiring maintainer cleanup.
• Browser local storage remembers unfinished manual selections, including username, raffle identifiers, and selected comment identifiers, until overwritten or cleared. Session storage remembers the view to open and is removed during navigation or follows the browser session lifecycle.
• Settings and platform logs are not erased by Delete raffle. Reddit manages platform-log retention separately.

Editing or deleting a source comment or Reddit account does not automatically erase saved app copies. Deleting a raffle does not retract published replies, remove source posts, clear browser drafts, or erase clipboard exports.

You can stop using the app, avoid optional replies, and clear browser site data. Authorized moderators can delete raffles. To request access, correction, or deletion of retained information, use the support contacts below with your Reddit username and relevant community, raffle, post, or comment links. Participants can request removal of their own information without being the raffle creator.

We may need to verify a request. Requests are handled under applicable law and Reddit requirements. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy, withdraw consent where applicable, or complain to your privacy regulator.

Access controls limit community data to authorized moderators, but no service can guarantee absolute security. If app data is compromised, we will contain the incident and notify Reddit and affected communities or users as required, with relevant mitigation steps.

Updates will appear here with a revised date. Material changes, including any future external integration, will be disclosed before activation where required.
