Set Up Play With Purpose
Follow these steps once, then you will be ready to search your games for loot.
Start here
Your first scan
- Step 1
Install Overwolf
Download and install Overwolf on your Windows PC. Overwolf runs Play With Purpose safely on top of your game.
- Step 2
Install Play With Purpose
Open our Overwolf store page, choose Download, and finish installing the app.
- Step 3
Start a supported game
Launch one of the supported games listed below. Keep Play With Purpose and Overwolf running.

Open Loot Scanner
In your game, click the Play With Purpose badge in the top-left corner, then open Loot Scanner.
- Step 5
Choose your scan hotkey
Open Overwolf Settings, find the Play With Purpose hotkeys, and choose a key that is easy to reach and does not clash with your game controls.
- Step 6
Point, scan, and discover
Place your cursor over a corpse, loot container, water, or a mineable-looking rock or mineral. Hold your scan hotkey, then release it.

Where to find the Play With Purpose badge
This image will point to the badge in the top-left corner after a supported game starts.
What can you scan?
Aim at one clear object or area at a time.
Loot containers
Chests, crates, caches, coffers, and similar containers can contain any kind of loot.
Water
Water and fishing spots can reward Gift Gold.
Minerals
Boulders, ore, crystals, and other mineable-looking objects can reward Rubies.
Supported Games

Play With Purpose is available in all games currently supported by Overwolf. Microsoft Store versions of games are not supported by Overwolf.
