Charades Coin
Charades Coin is a trading currency for the Charades Collective community. It is designed for secure trading between strangers, with the currency flowing through the Forum Gold Vault instead of relying on trust, screenshots, or informal payment promises.
Charades Coin can be bought through the vault and, once the branch is configured for wallet withdrawal, it can also be sold back out immediately through the exchange flow. The intended branch setup is 100 Charades Coin = 1 AUD.
Charades Coin also adds an extra layer of protection against payment fraud risk. In a direct peer-to-peer sale on an outside platform, a seller can be exposed if the original payment method is later disputed or reversed. With Charades Coin, the seller is not taking direct payment from the buyer on that outside platform. The seller receives Charades Coin inside The Crimson Market system and later chooses when to exchange it out. That means the payment and dispute handling stay within The Crimson Market's controlled flow rather than being pushed onto the individual seller.
4-Stage Escrow Flow
1. Offer Created
A buyer creates an escrow offer for a listing. At this stage the offer is pending and waiting for the seller to accept it, which keeps the initial intent separate from fund reservation.
2. Seller Accepts
Once the seller accepts, the offer moves from pending to accepted and an active escrow reservation is created. The buyer's currency is then reserved inside the vault instead of being sent directly to the seller.
3. Delivery Window
The active escrow gives both parties a controlled delivery period. During this stage the seller can deliver the item and the system still supports cancellation and dispute tooling if something goes wrong.
4. Buyer Confirms
After the buyer confirms delivery, the escrow completes and the reserved currency is released to the seller. This is the stage where value actually leaves escrow and settles to the other party.
The point of the system is that strangers do not need to trust each other first. The vault creates a structured acceptance, reservation, delivery, and release process around the trade.
Buy And Sell Flow
If Charades Coin is enabled for Stripe purchase in Forum Gold Vault, buyers can open the Buy tab with Charades Coin already selected and complete checkout there.
If Charades Coin is enabled for withdrawal and exchange, users can open the Exchange tab with Charades Coin selected and sell it immediately. The proceeds go to their wallet, and they can review those funds in Wallet Credit.
In other words: buy inside the vault, trade through escrow, then exchange back out to wallet credit when you are ready.
