Maybe I should give up and start a new character on SSF or standard league. I don’t really want to fall back on making a face roll minion build of some sort again but it seems to be the only thing I have any success with. Or maybe the game just isn’t for me IDK this is like the 3rd non-minion build I’ve tried and failed with lately.

Also i can't tell if you have the crit to fuel your comet, but that's also just an eventual scaling thing. Surprised you're not running frost darts but i guess breaking frost wall and comet spam is working for your single target

Yeah I'm giving up CoC for now because it just doesn't happen enough to warrant a 100 spirit ability. I don't know how CoEA/Elemental Invocation compare? I mean this is my league starter for 0.5.5 in SSF so I just do NOT have the resources to test 100 things right now. I don't know if I should even be using Trigger/Meta skills at all right now? Maybe I should just hard cast comet on everything?I tried frost darts early on in campaign and they felt... weak? So I haven't touched them since then. I don't know I use Eye of Winter off CD cause its cool and I like it and it does nice damage. Spam Ice Nova and snap the freezes but my snap feels weak? Bossing feels weak and slow. I was trying to treat ice wall kind of like shield wall where when I freeze a rare/boss I load up ice walls around them then snap or whatever to blow it all up.I'd be open to swap to a different ascendency I just took Varsh cause the focus + staff looked crazy, I hate slow energy shield and they take a whole second off of it.

I don't think any of the other trigger spells are worth it let alone invocations. I remember shotgunning with frost walls felt really weak after they nerfed it a while back too.The navira fracturing build kinda felt like the best ice caster in the game but I never looked into scaling frost orb/eye of winter though so there may be room there for you to try to up your damage through that. Eye of winter would probably benefit from chrono's latent cool down reduction and cool down reset skills.
