Varashtha is super defensive oriented class so instead of picking ES nodes focus first on damage to balanced your character. I HIGHLY recommend to take the "Archon Buff when ES starts to recharge" pick ALL Archon nodes from the right side (Mov speed/ All Res). For skills and gems you want to destroy your walls in one tap of a skill (this is really hard on normal circumstances) a really easy way to pop the walls is by linking Bitting frost or Elemental discharge support, so for example Ice Nova Astral projection or Magnified Area and Bitting Frost with this set up you can pop your walls in one click. That last thing I wanted to mention is that because you're playing Elemental spells you want to shock enemies so try to get either gain as lightning or pick a lightning skill to reliably shock rare and unique enemies.

I don't think any of the other trigger spells are worth it let alone invocations. I remember shotgunning with frost walls felt really weak after they nerfed it a while back too. The navira fracturing build kinda felt like the best ice caster in the game but I never looked into scaling frost orb/eye of winter though so there may be room there for you to try to up your damage through that. Eye of winter would probably benefit from chrono's latent cool down reduction and cool down reset skills.
